Zhu, Yunxia,

Bio

Yunxia Zhu is an Associate Professor in Strategy at the University of Queensland Business School.  She is an award-winning researcher and educator and has an international reputation in cross-cultural management and communication for building business relationships, and indigenous theories in Chinese management. Yunxia obtained her PhD from the Australian National University and has been trained in Harvard negotiation programs. She has taught in three countries including China, New Zealand and Australia and was a visiting academic of Imperial College London in 2013 and University of Michigan in 2009.

She has been a recipient of numerous awards. She is the winner of 2015 UQ Teaching and Learning Fellowship, 2014 Australian National Teaching Citation Award, UQ Vice Chancellor’s 2013 Internationalization award, UQ 2013 Outstanding Teaching Citation award, 2011 Best Researcher Award and 2006 Best Publication by Association for Business Communication, and 2008 UQ Business School Research Excellence award, just to name a few. As an active researcher, Yunxia has written or edited three books and has published extensively in prestigious international journals. She serves on six editorial boards for prestigious journals such as Academy of Management Learning and Education. She is also Vice President of Association for Business Communication, Asian Pacific Region, playing an active role in promoting indigenous and cross-cultural scholarship.
